Covid-19 Vaccine Day at The Chocolate Works Care Village

December 31st 2020 was a monumental day at The Chocolate Works Care Village. We welcomed GPs/ Nurses and healthcare assistants from Jorvik Gillygate practice who worked with us to vaccinate 77 residents and 14 members of staff. We want to send a warm thank-you to the staff at Jorvik Gillygate practice for the safe delivery of the Pfizer vaccine to our residents.
The Pfizer vaccine was rolled out for care homes mid-December and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to receive the vaccine on New Year’s Eve. Sarah Paskett, Home Manager at The Chocolate Works Care Village, said: “it was a very uplifting day for all of us as we felt we were finally doing something positive to move forward in an otherwise long haul of a year.”
