Often the decision to move a loved one with dementia to a residential care facility is one of the most difficult decisions you will ever make. At The Chocolate Works the person comes first, every time, and this ethos is clearly evident when you meet our friendly team of experienced, caring professionals who are there to support and guide our residents as well as their families. Our safe and caring communal living environment with levels of care tailored to the individual will give families peace of mind and residents the quality of life that they deserve.
We understand the mixed emotions you go through when considering a move into residential care for your loved one. Take our resident Margaret, for instance. Margaret categorically stated she never ever wanted to go into a home. However, being a sufferer of dementia it came to the point where Margaret simply wasn’t coping and her family had to make the difficult decision, just like you, to move her into residential care. After a short respite stay at the Chocolate Works, Margaret soon moved in as a resident and has not looked back. Click here to read Margaret’s Story in it’s entirety, as told by her niece.
