It's officially December and our staff Christmas presents trolley is stocked and ready to go!!
We have lots and lots of fun Christmas activities planned for the next couple of weeks.. stay tuned to find out more!!
Springfield Healthcares reverse advent calendar aims to give something back to the community by encouraging staff to 'do the giving' and donate a different item each day during advent, with these items being delivered to local food banks before Christmas.
If you would like to join in from home, we have attached the poster to provide some ideas for donations.. let us know if you do get involved!!
This initiative isn’t just about encouraging people to make donations to the local food bank, but to raise awareness, during the month of December, about food poverty and how we can all help just a little bit. Even sharing our Facebook posts is something we can all do - costs nothing and takes seconds. Thank you!

Movement is very important for us here at The Chocolate Works, and in response to residents and staff feedback, we've added an additional Keep Fit / Move to Music (Dementia friendly) exercise class to the Wellbeing Programme for each of our communities every week.
One of our residents, who is passionate about Keep Fit, and as a Doctor understands the importance of exercise, helped me create a poster to encourage all residents to join! In his words, "use it or lose it!".
We also have a new and exciting type of movement class - laughter yoga! Riverside Community had their first session yesterday and I am happy to say with great success! - L
